Mexican Traditions
Day of the Dead - November 1 and 2 of November. This tradition commemorates in a joyful and colorful way each person who went to the afterlife, reliving memories and teachings in order to spiritually reunite with them during those two days.
Independence Day - September 15th. The independence that gave freedom to the country is proudly celebrated at 11:00 pm. With lots of music, Mexican dishes, typical costumes and fireworks. People gather in the Zocalo to recreate the cry of independence, ring the bell and loudly exclaim the name of each of the heroes of the country.
Day of the virgen of Guadalupe - December 12. at 00:00 hours many religious people gather in churches, homes or in the Basilica of Guadalupe to sing the mañanitas with great devotion and carry out various masses, they are fed tamales and atole.
